Therapeutic Yoga   -

It is always rather wonderful to receive feedback for doing something that you love. And that is how I feel, amazed and grateful to each person who has shared this practice with me over the years ~ from Hannah Schoenbach, my first teacher in 1975, to the last person with whom I practiced this morning.

The comments below come from people in every walk of life; the youngest "voice" is 17, the most senior, now 84 years old.

The class today made me feel so wonderful.  I have felt hunched over, sore and in pain all over since I tore my ACL, and this is the first time I have felt relief.  I cannot thank you enough for providing a safe space for me to practice in.  I only wish I could take a class with you more often!

"I just wanted to thank you for such a fabulous class yesterday. Having missed three weeks I almost forgot how good I feel after class. For the first time in three years, I was able to go from plank position to downward dog without pain shooting from lower back down each leg to my ankles. The stretching is so important for my hip issues and obviously my lower back too.

First, THANK YOU for yesterday.  The timing and the topic of the class could not have been more timely.  I did well on my test today, and I attribute a big part of that to gaining perspective and calming down through the class.  So so excited for the HUGE things to come!

I have to thank you again for coming to our GW Spirituality and Health Interest Group session. It's everything I hoped for and more. I spoke with some of the students who attended after class, and they were blown away. One student said she wishes she had a recording of your voice because it instantly soothed her. Another said she wished she took notes because you spurred so many great ideas for her future practice, and what she wants out of life. Another said she wishes you were her sensei. I have felt all these feelings since meeting you and am happy that other students here are learning about you and your talents.
 
I hope you know how much I appreciate you and your generosity. I just wanted to share with you some feedback and look forward to continuing to work with you.

Hi Linda,
Not to jump to conclusions too quickly, but I feel really good right now. :) Lots of space in my lumbar spine and a lifted spirit. Thanks so much for the time you spent with me today and your insight into the workings of my body. I feel that I have so, so much to learn about all that we discussed, but hopefully bit by bit I can learn to feel what's going on and what's going wrong. Thanks for getting me started.

Thank you for touching base... My knee is completely better. I think my sessions with you really helped.  The orthopedic surgeon told me to go to PT...but I think the yoga and practicing what we did actually did the trick...Thank you for all your help and I hope that when things settle down I will be able to go to yoga classes and will definitely keep you in mind regarding referrals.

My daughter LOVED your class yesterday. She was just bubbling
over with enthusiasm when I picked her up! This doesn't happen too often, so I am thrilled. It is just so important these days to learn the concepts of balance and acceptance and to focus. She'll be able to use these skills for the rest of her life. Thanks for bringing yoga to Pyle.

So, after a rotten day and a slow dinner, I came home and looked again at the CD, which I had forgot to mention when I  wrote you yesterday. It was exactly what I needed.  I listened to the first section about breathing, and followed the instructions while lying in bed, not sitting, and I was able to relax completely and go to sleep. You always hit the right button for me .
